Description

The X-wing (also known as Incom T-65) is a space fighter from the Star Wars universe that fights in the ranks of the Rebellion. He first appeared on the screen in the movie “Star Wars: A New Hope” (I or IV part of the saga). Standard armament consists of four laser cannons on the wingtips and two proton torpedo launchers. The length of the vehicle is 12.5 meters. The drive is provided by four ion motors. The X-Wing also has maneuvering and stabilizing engines.

The X-wing was designed and largely produced at Incom as a far-reaching development of the Z-95 fighters. It is worth noting that pilots of this type of fighters could almost always count on the help of the R2 and R4 astromechanical droids in combat missions. Fighters of this type formed the backbone of the Rebel forces during the Battle of Yavin (year O BBY), and it was this type of fighter that Luke Skywalker piloted during the attack on the Death Star during the battle.
