Description

The 2024 Ferrari F.1, called SF24, represented a significant evolution compared to previous models. The SF24’s engine is a hybrid turbo V6, with a power unit (PU) improved in terms of both efficiency and power. Changes to the Energy Recovery System (ERS) have enabled more effective energy management, ensuring greater boost in acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. The transmission has been optimized to minimize power losses, allowing quick and smooth gear changes. The team worked intensively on the aerodynamic design of the SF24. The car features a new package of front and rear wings, designed to maximize downforce and improve cornering stability. The side bellies have been redesigned to optimize air flow towards the rear, thus improving downforce and reducing aerodynamic resistance.
